Physio in Coventry Treatment - Elaine Carr Physiotherapy Elaine Carr MSc BSc (Hons) MCSP Physiotherapist Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist with extensive experience in the treatment of general outpatients. Registered with all major health Insurance companies. I have worked as a Physio in Coventry NHS since 1994 and am still employed as an extended scope practitioner specialising in all upper limb problems. Highly specialised in hand problems with skills including assessment and treatment of complex upper limb patients both acute, surgical / non surgical, rheumatology and chronic conditions. Have worked privately in Leamington and Coventry since 1999 maintaining an extensive skill base regularly up dating with advanced courses. Fortunate to have a close working relationship with the local Coventry Orthopaedic Consultants, regularly treating patients after surgery. This can provide appropriate advice and referral on if needed. Additional skills include – wound care, removal of stitches, advanced splinting (both custom made to patients and pre fabricated splints), TMJ (Jaw) Mobilisations along with “Pilates Classes by Physios” which incorporates my core muscle stability skills with Pilates exercises. My knowledge base allows me to lecture at Coventry University on the Msc Course and lecture to specialist doctors on a yearly basis. I also had an article published in the BAHT journal during my MSc. Special interests include: jaw pain, ergonomic workstation assessments, postural related problems and biomechanical problems (including sport injuries and related problems).
